The Church of St Catherine of Siena dates from Saxon times in the 11th century although much of the structure is from the 12th to 14th and 19th centuries. It is located at the east of Cocking village between the 15th century manor house and Costers Brook. The four parishes of Cocking, Bepton, Heyshott and West Lavington have joined together and are served by the Rector who lives in Cocking Rectory.
In August 2021, Father Jonathan Jong was appointed as Rector of Cocking with West Lavington, Bepton and Heyshott, where he will be serving the Benefice while continuing his research into the psychology of religion. Here is his letter of introduction.
