On Saturday 13th May Cocking Church was, for the third time, the venue for a concert of chamber music performed by the Galliard Trio. The varied programme including works by Bach, Mozart, Shostakovich and Lennox Berkeley, delighted the audience of about 140 and was followed by a splendid meal in the Manor Farm Barn. Introducing the trio, who performed on harpsichord, oboe, flute and cor anglais, Philip Jackson reminded the audience that the previous Galliard concerts were held in aid of the History Column and Church repairs. He explained that this year's event would benefit the Project for a new Village Hall or Community Centre.
Following the concert it was announced that the event had raised £2,526.60.
