Cocking Church gets a Patron Saint PDF Print E-mail

St. Catherine of SienaKnown for having no dedication, Cocking Church was recently given a patron saint - St. Catherine of Siena.

Saint Catherine, born in 1347 (or possibly 1333) died in 1380. She was canonised in 1461 and her feast day is 29th April.

Following extensive consultation, the saint was the unanimous choice of the Bishop, the PCC and the Priest-in-Charge, the Rev Canon Colin Bradley.
